The menu is a delightful exploration of traditional Egyptian flavors, but the highlights are undoubtedly the falafel and the ful. As Jason Hoh raved, it's quite possibly the best falafel he'll ever have. Each bite bursts with flavor, a harmonious combination of spices that will leave you craving more. The ful, a staple in Egyptian cuisine, is also a standout—Amanda Crutchley described it as flavorful and generously portioned, offering a rich taste that embodies the essence of its roots.

Another crowd favorite is the Fattah, which comes highly recommended for its incredible balance of flavors. Hazim Aladdin emphasized the well-cooked rice and crispy bread, topped with a secret sauce that elevates the dish to extraordinary heights. Customers like Mister and Mrs Ruth also laud the deep flavors and generous servings, making it an exceptional value for the quality offered.

Family run authentic Egyptian restaurant a few yards away from all the beach front. Everything is run by the family, so service won't be the quickest, but every dish is cooked to perfection with care. Likely the best falafel I've had in my life! Very reasonably priced as well if you are not in a hurry. Closes at 5.30pm on a Saturday afternoon - not sure if they open again for dinner.

Just had a delicious, high quality Egyptian meal here at a very reasonable price! We had the ful and fattah- both were very flavorful with generous portion sizes. The staff (perhaps the owner?) and the space were really warm and welcoming. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely wonderful authentic Egyptian restaurant in the heart of Margate old town. We came here for the first time today and thought the food was absolutely delicious and the prices incredibly reasonable. We had the Ful Medames with onion tomato and bell peppers and the falafel with cheese, served with pitta, tahini and salad. Flavours were deep and falafel perfectly cooked. Fresh mint tea too. The real deal of an authentic place to eat in Margate and lovely staff/owners. Thank you, we’ll be back!

Absolute little gem of a place - great food, lovely staff and atmosphere. Falafel was amazing and baba-ganouj was the best I've ever eaten. It was so good we went for lunch there two days in a row.

Walked by and was intrigued by how beautiful it looked inside.. totally captured by the smells coming from the kitchen! It's a wonderfully atmospheric place and the food was delicious. Small but cosy. Didn't think I'd be experimenting with Egyptian food whilst in Margate, but well worth a stop.

Delicious fresh food. I tried the Fata chicken, tasted amazing. The rice was made in away you can taste that it is well cooked, not just streamed rice. I don't know what is exactly the sauce they put on the rice but it was amazing. The crispy bread inside the rice was a bonus. The chicken was awesome too The fact that is a family business make you feel that food made with love
